Neurotoxins, such as Botox® and Dysport®, are minimally invasive injectable compounds that temporarily relax targeted muscles of the face. They are used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
-
Neurotoxins usually last anywhere between 3-4 months. Your treatment regimen will typically consist of 3-4 visits per year. If you are someone who is very physically active or have a higher intrinsic metabolism, you may require more frequent touch ups.
-
Neurotoxins are priced per unit. We charge $12/unit.
-
It will take two weeks for your neurotoxin treatment to take full effect.
-
Possible side effects include a transient headache, eyelid ptosis, eyebrow drooping, dry eye and possible facial asymmetries.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances made up of hyaluronic acid that are injected beneath the skin to help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers also help restore volume loss associated with aging while adding definition and contour to desired areas of the face.
Hyaluronic acid is a highly hydrophilic (water attractant) compound that is found in all living cells. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind 1000 times its weight in water, in turn, introducing hydration and volume to the skin.
-
The facial structure works as the scaffolding that our soft tissue hangs on to. Dermal fillers are used for those who experience volume loss associated with aging. As we age, the skin undergoes several changes including loss of elasticity, less collagen, redistribution of facial fat and dryness. Additionally, bone resorption (loss of bone density) changes our facial structure which leads to loss in the support that gives our facial features structure.
Changes in skeletal structure vary in each patient with the most common being:
Volume loss in the cheeks resulting in a sunken appearance.
Volume loss in the midface contributes to deeper nasolabial folds.
Skin around the mouth and lips will wrinkle.
The lower face gets wider and shorter resulting in jowls.
-
Depending on the type of dermal filler used, one can expect their results to last 6 months up to two years.
-
The cost of a dermal filler treatment varies depending on amount required. Amount of filler required will be discussed during consultation. One syringe starts at $600-$725 depending on the product.
-
Results are immediate.
-
Bruising, swelling, redness and temporary discomfort while healing.
The risk of vascular/arterial occlusion is the main risk when undergoing a dermal filler procedure and is discussed during your appointment.

Pre & Post Care
PRF (platelet rich fibrin)
-
PRP and PRF treatments differ in the speed of centrifugation, which affects the composition of the final product. PRF, with its slower centrifugation speed, retains more of these beneficial components, such as fibrin, white blood cells, growth factors and stem cells, enhancing its regenerative properties.
PRF's fibrin matrix plays a crucial role in the controlled release of growth factors and other nutrients at the treatment site. This slow, sustained release can lead to enhanced collagen production and overall rejuvenation at a cellular level, offering long-lasting benefits.
-
PRF is only contraindicated in individuals who are on blood thinners, included but not limited to, Warfarin, Eliquis, Plavix, and Aspirin.
-
Allergic reactions are highly unlikely because PRF is derived from your own blood.
One can expect to experience swelling, puffiness and possible bruising for 3-5 days following PRF injections in the face.
On may experience a sight headache after receiving PRP injections for hair restoration.

An initial series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
Literature recommends a maintenance treatment 3 months after your third initial treatment and then another one 6 months after, followed by annual appointments.
Example: initial treatment: October, November, December
Maintenance: March, September, then annually
(Maintenance treatments are not required in order to see results from your initial series.)
